We provide
an economical alternative to scatter cremated human or pet remains at sea. In order to provide the low cost this is not a ride along service. Insurance rates make it prohibitive. You are welcome to watch from shore if you prefer. The service
is completed
in a dignified
and professional manner and may be handled with prayer or other reading
per your request at no additional cost. We take pride in our honesty and integrity.
Our boat
the SS Minnow is a 19 foot Century. We operate
out of
Bodega Bay, California
and also provide service in the northern part of San Francisco Bay. Scatterings are completed normally within ten days
of receipt of the remains on a "Weather Permitting" basis. The scattering is handled in concurance with state and environmental regulations. We are California State licensed (Reg.#575) and inspected annually by the State agency and U.S. Coast Guard. Any accompanying mementos will need to be biodegradable. Video filming of the scattering is also available upon request for an additional $20. We also provice a certificate of the waterway chart with the location (longitude and latitude), date, time, and weather conditions.
