I'm a Unix Systems Administrator. I have a BS degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University in Boston. I come from Portugal where I went to high school. So you'd say I'm Portuguese, I guess. Well... kinda. I have a portuguese passport, if that's what you mean. You see, I wasn't born there, and I didn't even grow up there. In fact, by now I've lived in the US longer than I've lived in Portugal. I'm originally from Mozambique, that's where I grew up.
While in College, I developed this unusual fascination for travel. I'm not talking about your normal one week, or two weeks vacation to Florida. I'm talking real, extended travel to distant and exotic places. I particularly enjoy observing other cultures and learn about their history and customs. Unfortunately, this has turned out to be a fairly expensive hobby but luckly there always was co-op to help pay the bills.
Now the good life has ended, at least to some extent. When I'm at work I'm trying to be a Unix Systems Administrator :-) When I'm neither at work, or traveling, I'm most likely doing some kind of physical activity. I love sports end enjoy just about every kind of outdoor activitiy. While in College I was a Varsity Track athlete, and I played intramural soccer and voleyball as well. Right now I'm most likely to be spending my free time in the Great Outdoors, whether it is hiking or climbing, snowboarding, or simply riding the bike around my neighborhood. I'm also a member of the "Northeastern University Hus-skiers and Outing Club", NUHOC as we call it.
A pointer to Portuguese "Futebol" and News.
I had a great time at Northeastern during the 5 years that I spent there and so I'd also like to use this page to pay a well deserved tribute to all my friends and to the classes of '95 and '96.
