Alone

He sat alone without a light,
Moving for no one
He was curled up tight.
The room was pitch black and littered with leaves,
The dark poured in
Given by trees.

The moon was full;
From what he could see.
Round and yellow
But no mystery.
Spiders danced around him;
Delighting in their craft.
His eyes followed intensely,
As he wondered to see them laugh.
Purgatory

A cold empty building
Decrepit and out of place.
A girl stared out of the window
With a cold and hard face.

Her hair was long and matted
Her skin was pale as sleet.
Her eyes held diamond hail
That silently fell to her feet.

Her hair was black as a raven
That perched on the old oak tree.
Not really living, just
Manifestation of memory.

The building was old and rundown
Apparantly no one cared.
No one cared to visit her,
Visit what wasn't there.

You didn't visit what didn't exist,
She was there day after day.
Always at the window
Though thousands of miles away.

When you called she didn't answer,
Shouted, she didn't hear.
There was nothing for her to care about
And no one to call her "dear".

Shadows moved behind her
Reflected on the wall.
Slowly moving spectres
Only she can hear their call.

Always there in spirit
Their bodies in the ground.
Never again to leave the house
When guarded by Death's hound.

So many spirits trapped there,
Until their pennance is paid.
Kept in a place between heaven and hell
Where all their deeds are weighed.

No sense of time to destroy them.  With nothing time wants to steal.
Time seeks youth, carefree days of truth,
Through mortals' sorrow it gets its meal.

Some confined to the house for eternity
A pennance never tobe paid.
Exiled from their friends
And All their loved ones betrayed.
Dreams and Nightmares

Feed my dreams of nightmares and shadows
Obscenities twisted by a mind of sin.
A parasite feeding on trial and retribution
Taking and destroying your mind from within.

It waits and beckons when in slumber you lie,
A temporary coma of Death's favourite daughter.
Unable to resist the sweet sleep of sadism,
Willing falling like a lamb to the slaughter.

Flashing images turn common visions
To masocistic horrors of subconscious mind.
Childhood fears resurected with malice
You have no where to run but are easy to find.

Taunted by demons you long to forget,
Insignificant pictures distorted to memories.
Nightmares returned from connotations of fear,
Disturbingly telling your long lost story.

The rocking horse's severed head
Floating in a bath of blood.
Stare into it's hollow eyes
See the demon you keep locked inside.
Cancer

Beautiful on the outside
Unaware of the demon within.
Waiting impatiently and biding it's time
Preparing to unleash a sin.
Malicious without cause,
Sadistic and mentally scarring.
Unknown yet attacking
A war not realised lost.
Your body a battleground
Left damaged after defeat.
Darkness spreads inside you
There can be no retreat.

The despair shows on your graven face
As a lump begins to grow.
Prayers for salvation
Left unanswered.
Your soul
Destined for below.
Anorexia

Skin and bone
Nothing more contained within
Her shallow frame.
Deformity more than beauty.
Yet not what
She sees.
Twigs for limbs
Others won't touch.
They don't want her to snap.
But in a way
She already has.
Flipped a switch
Within her mind that tells her
She's not beautiful.
You cannot stop the descecration inside
No one can prolong your life.
Forced to accept the hatred of God
Made to suffer through pain and strife.

You become increasingly withdrawn
As you slowly lose all hope.
You see your life coming to an end
Alone and unable to cope.
