The Rongorongo Glyphs on the Spanish Treaty

by Sergei V. Rjabchikov

Figure 1 contains the "signatures" taken down on the Spanish Treaty by the Rapanui chiefs in 1770. In my opinion, it is a pattern of the real rongorongo script.

This record reads:

(Line 1:) 44

(Line 2:) 14 1 30 53

(Line 3:) 17-51 54 26 59 10 16 74-74 15

Taha (Kena). Hau Tiki-Ana-Maro. Teke Kaimakahi [KAHI] Tinitini Roa. 'The tribal union Te Kena. The King Tiki-the Shine-the Solstice. The King Kaimakoi of the Great Crater/Light (i.e. Rapa Nui, or Easter Island)'.

This inscription is connected with the two glyphs on the London rei-miro (J) and with the text on the Sydney rei-miro.
