David's Home Page
Welcome to my homepage!!  Hope it doesn't bore you....I'm trying to do something different...not sure what, though!  I'm a terrible speller, so please ignore the typos.  If anything else, you may get a laugh at my lack of that spelling thing.  If you take the time to look over what I've created, you may find something of interest.  You may even find a few things out about me!  And if you have any suggestions, I am willing (and ALWAYS excited) to listen to other people's opinions.

I suppose I'll start with my ART PAGE....ENJOY!!

This is one of my favorite photographs.  It was created by Robert Mapplethorpe.  I know what you're thinking, but this guy had such an amazing sense of color and light.  And the calla lilly also happens to be my favorite flower.  Even Mapplethorpe's more "controversial" subjects are amazing.  Jesse Helms would not agree, but how many people really listen to him?
Here's another favorite photograph visuialized by Ansel Adams.  The sense of solitude and, perhaps loneliness, is overwhelming and beautiful.  It is quite haunting.  Adams was a master of landscapes and not many have matched his uncompromising eye for beauty.
Georgia O'Keefe  was quite unique in her vision.  Many have debated over her intentions but all have agreed that her work visualized the female genitalia.  This work completely justifies this claim.  The colors are striking and the imagery is somewhat personal in form.
What can be said about children's photographs on Hallmark cards?  Okay, some people might think this style of photography to be somewhat "tacky", but Kim Anderson has such a fun spirit (and romantic), I can't help but smile sheepishly over her artwork.  These roses, my visitors, are for you.
I use to have this poster hanging up in the living room when I was attending college.  It's a very tranquil and calming piece of art from Monet.
