Doc

Quarter Horse gelding
1977

Doc is an old bay gelding, approximately 15 hands high.  Doc is a sweet guy who loves being around people.  He has very good ground manners, and does well for the farrier and vet.  Doc falls under the "dead broke" catergory - he is a horse for beginners, although he loves children the best.

Doc originally came into SCR's care because he was being neglected - he was in "skin and bones" condition.  After putting some weight back on, we were able to place Doc into a home where he was a children's horse, and he loved every second of it!

Recently, Doc's child moved off to school, and the family was debating giving Doc back to us so we could find another child for him to love.  Their decision was made final when a barn fire destroyed Doc's home.

Doc found his forever home with the owner of one of our foster farms.  Her children absolutely love Doc, and spoil him rotten.  We wish you the best of luck together!
