Years ago, Crimson Miracle was his racing name.  Now he is known by his barn name, Jerome...Jerry to those who know him best.  Jerome was donated to SCR after a 9 year career in eventing.  From what we could tell, he had bowed tendons in the past, but was sound upon arrival at SCR.

Jerry was adopted by a young SCR volunteer and her family, where he spent 3+ years teaching the girl about horses and riding.  A few months back, Jerry bowed another tendon and it did not fully heal.  Just recently, Jerry re-injured the partially healed bow, and sadly, his family could not care for him in such an injured state.

SCR makes a promise to care for our horses for as long as they need us, so we took Jerry back under our wings to rehabilitate him from this injury.  Under our care, Jerry's bowed tendon fully healed.  He is now W-T-C sound.  To prevent further injury, SCR stipulates that he have medicince boots or wraps on at all times while being ridden and he can no longer be jumped.

Jerry found a forever home with an experienced horse woman who will use him mainly as a companion, possibly for some light riding.  We wish them the best of luck together.
