Sam came to us from a local stable because he was suffering from "back soreness".  We were positive that it was not lyme, but we were not able to pin point the reason for his problems.

When he came into our care, Sam was trained in dressage and had a very good disposition under saddle.  We tried him with beginners to advanced beginners and he was very good.  From what we saw, he was a bit pokey under saddle, so needed lot of leg--once he was going forward though, he was poetry in motion.  What a beautiful mover!

Sam tended to be mouthy, so we suggested no hand-feeding for his future forever home.  He also tried to bully people at feeding time unless he was reminded not to.  Once he realized that he couldn't push you around though, he respected your space.

Eventually, Sam found his "forever mom" in a little girl.  Sam and his new owner are doing wonderful and we wish them the best of luck in the future.
