HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Wednesday & Friday 8:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday Noon to 6:00 p.m
+LIBRARY OPENS FOR BUSINESS THE MONDAY BEFORE CLASSES START.
The Library Commons is also closed for Circulation During:
CHAPEL: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:50 to Noon for Campus Chapel
LUNCH: M-F Noon to 1:00 p.m. for Lunch
DINNER: M-F 5-6 for Dinner.
Non-Semester Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30 to 4:30 - Beginning Jan. 1 and May 6 call for latest information.
Closed the Month of July
CIRCULATION
Students are limited to seven books.
Circulation time is for a three (3) week period.
All items are due back by date or grades will be held. It is a violation of the Student Honor Code to improperly check out items,or fail to return items on time.
BEHAVIOR IN THE LIBRARY COMMONS
To help others who are studying - no cell phone use.
To food or drink in the Computer Lab.
No food in the Library itself.
Drinks (with lids may used in the library proper)
Conduct should help others in the library as they study or read.
MATERIAL USE BY STUDENTS ---NEW FOR FALL 2007
A benefit of student life at SCU is access to, and use of, the SCU Library Commons. As with all libraries, students share resources. They check out items and then promptly return them knowing that others may have a need to use them as well.
Research should therefore be done promptly to avoid the last minute paper. End of semester means the library must retrieve books, send overdues, and attempt to get materials or fines from negligent students. Librairies suffer high cost losses when students fail to return materials on time...or at all.
Starting Fall 2007 - fines will used once more and the cost of the book(s) will be added to the school bills of students not returning items by the due date. The average cost of a books is $25.00, processing charges are $10.00 and thus the average cost per book will be $30.00.
One book = $30.00 Three books = $90.00 etc.
END OF SEMESTER DUE DATE - WED. BEFORE THE LAST DAY OF CLASS.
