Happy Independence Day to all you Americans out there! This update is a little one because no one is sending me any stuff to add to my page. It takes a LONG time to do it all by yourself...and this page is supposed to be about you guys, not just Scully, or me. But anyway, if you're interested, there are three music video links in the Character section available now.

Welcome! This page is still under major construction, so some of the links off to the left don't work yet, however some do, so please take a look around! This page is a brand new version of my old page which was so rudely erased by Tripod for unexplained reasons. However, I am glad for the change because it forced me to re-think this page and get something new and spunky out of the shift! Change can be a good thing! Now, down to business. If this is your first time visiting this page, you might be wondering what the heck this is all about! Am I right?

Let me explain -This page comes as a combination of personal inspiration and revelation, as well as observation. Women these days are constantly selling themselves short for trends, men, and media. Thousands of young girls are starving themselves to look like supermodels, or selling their bodies instead of nurturing their minds and hearts. We are SO much more than our bodies!

What does this have to do with Dana Scully and The X-Files? Well...in 1994 the television series aired and immediately there was something different. The woman portrayed was sexy not because of her looks (although she is beautiful) but for her intelligence! WOW! Dana Scully was the start of a phenomenon of powerful, intelligent women in the media. While the trend is growing, women still need a pick-me-up in this patriarchal society.

So that's where this page comes in! I wanted to create a page that would use a TV Character as a basis for inspiration and motivation for women everywhere. When I have re-stocked my files, this page will feature essays on Dana Scully as a Role Model, quotes and monologues to inspire and promote thought, drawings and collages by me and you (or others like you), and stuff about Gillian Anderson and her character! There will also possibly be a section of just random women-stuff if anyone is interested. If you want to contribute to this site, please email me! I can't guarantee that it will be published here, but I can guarantee that I will read it! I need your work and thoughts. This page is just as much about you as it is about Scully!

Thank you for visiting. Please check back regularly for updates!
