Excerpt from EDUL 6990, Team 4, Assignment A:

1.  O.C.G.A. 45-10-1 was created by the Georgia legislature, establishes a code of ethics, and outlines conflicts of interest for those individuals who serve in the government service sector of the Georgia workforce. By defining proper professional conduct, the O.C.G.A. eliminates any doubt about how those employed by government entities should conduct themselves. By passing this law, the legislature sought to prevent abuse of power and to make professionals working for the government legally obligated to adhere to the professional conduct described in the code.
