All The Miles . . .
Since working for a newspaper several  years now, I've been some places that have captured my eyes and some other places that I have no plans of revisiting!!! These pictures are an album of several of those sites and were either taken by Adam, Landon, Derek or myself. My three companions have become quite the "mobile" photographer as they snapped some of these shots out the passenger side window!!! Most of these shots have a story behind them - and I'll try to tell it without revealing too many secrets. This is only a small sample of the hundreds of photos we've snapped along the way.

State Line - Bristol, TN and VA                                  The bright lights of Atlanta, GA.

Afton Mountain - near Charlottesville, VA                Blue Ridge Parkway overlooking Roanoke, VA

Bristol Motor Speedway - Adam took this photo while
roaming around as high as he could get - even climbing a
ladder to test my fear of heights.

I didn't think there was a real place until we went to
Manassas thru the Shenendoah Valley and there it
was - Yogi Bear's home.

Lane Stadium-Blacksburg                                   Turner Field - Atlanta, Georgia

Historic Building in Downtown Charlottesville.              The official "big butt" flag on Interstate 81

This is the famous "Hokie Bush" that Landon had us
driving around Blacksburg, at all times of the night,
trying to find. And please, whoever you were, please don't beep
at 2 women and a teenage boy driving a hunter
green Toyota Corolla if you ever see us near here again.

                            Monticello                                       Almost  Monticello
Adam, Landon & I tried to visit here, but they were ready to close, it was pouring rain and
it was just downright expensive. So, we took a "picture of a picture" so we could at least have
some memories. :-)

For one day early in November 2002 - Great Plains, VA
officially changed its name to Great Rains for the VHSL
State Cross Country Meet. Unfortunately, we were there.
Four straight hours of rain, no umbrella, standing in a field
where Polo is played with water up to our knees. We didn't realize
that renting Swim Fan the night before was a premonition
of things to come. It rained all night and the entire meet - we
had to stop at a gas station to change clothes before we could
even head back home. And our waiter at IHOP forgot we were
there!!!!!! It was a great trip none-the-less.

Yep, that's Adam and Landon coming down the steps at ETSU on one of our numerous
visits to Johnson City, TN. Thanks Steve - if we count up what we owe you - you'd be
one rich turkey.

We didn't stop here, but we wanted to. hahaha!!
