| Peter Francisco is thought to have been born in Portugal and, as a small boy, was brought to the Colonies and left on a dock in Virginia in 1765. He grew up to be one of the greatest patriots Virginia has everknown, serving in the American Revolution with General George Washington, who said about him: "Without him we would have lost two crucial battles, perhaps the War, and with it our freedom. He was truly a One Man Army." |
