"Under The Sea"

If you could make a wish,
Would you want to be a fish.
If so, what kind would you be,
Large or small or cute as can be.
Can you hear the waves a crashing,
And see the fish go darting and dashing.
As we live, under the sea,
What a wonderful place to be.

You can enjoy the sights of our world,
For it is, crystal blue and pretty as a pearl.
Swimming to and fro, that’s my wish,
It’s the perfect life, for a fish.
And if you ever get the chance,
You may come on down and dance.
In our world, under the sea,
What a beautiful place to be.

Photography By: Mark Mohlmann
Mark is a graduate student in the PhD program at the University of Hawaii,
Department of Zoology, studying systematic ichthyology (fish).

MARK: I live on a small island in Kaneohe Bay
where the University of Hawaii marine lab is located.
The island is about 24 acres and surrounded
by coral reefs and is a conservation zone.

MARK: I am looking at the taxonomy, phylogeny, and biogeography of a
group of gobies united by a behavioral synapomorphy.

(TRANSLATION: I am deciding which species are valid and describe and name new ones,
look at the evolutionary relationships and where they live.
The fish are grouped together cuz they all live with a type of shrimp
that digs the burrow and the fish is the guard)

Please do not remove any written and/or graphics from this page without asking... If you like my work, let me design something for you... I've tried to do all my own design work, I wanted my web pages to be an extension of myself... What I've done on these pages has came from the heart... So, please be kind and ask first... Thanks Sheila D(ee)
