| Thankful ~ I would prefer to lay in the grass and look at the stars than subject myself to your world You have taken everything I had to give and tossed it to the wind ... So why should I come, on another empty promise why should you care now, because the moment of your loneliness has griped you? Becaus you see what you could have had the girl that gave everything of herself It was so easy for you You took so many good years and you ground them into tears and you know I do, I lay in the grass ... Because I want to, because I can Because I cant have you anymore It hurts to much to be in your world its so empty ... I must chose to walk away But babe the sky is so big & blue, and the grass is so cool & green its so real when your not and your not here to hurt me anymore its my choice to not let you in ever again time will take away my tears but I will never let you see them I will heal in time and you will never hold my heart I cant allow you to treat me so badly its my fault for letting you in but I have no other way to be I may lay in the grass with tears streaming down my face but you will never know you will never know I will think of the boy I once met and how he changed & slipped away getting closer to the day when I am able to turn and walk away to tell you no, to tell you I dont need the pain I am thankful for the dreams that came to pass and the ones that did not, will come another day I will try to remember the good times & forget the bad ...
