My Sport and Hobbies

Martial Art is the only sport that I am interested in.  I learn Karate, Tae-kwondo and Aikido before for the past 12 years.

Definition

True karate is this: that in daily life one's mind and body be trained and developed in a spirit of humility, and that in critical times, one be devoted utterly to the cause of justice." -- Gichin Funakoshi. Karate can also be described as a martial art, or fighting method, involving a variety of techniques, including blocks, strikes, evasions, throws, and joint manipulations. Karate practice is divided into three aspects: kihon (basics), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring).

Taekwon Do is the training and techniques of unarmed combat for self-defence as well as health. It involves the skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks and dodges with bare hands and feet for the rapid destruction of a moving opponent or opponents.

Aikido is a Martial art that emphasizes blending with the attacker, rather than confronting the attacker with hard techniques such as punches and kicks.

Many people asked me, which martial art is the best among the three?

My answer is “All martial arts are having its special skills and strength, whether which one is the best not depending on the martial itself, is depending on how expert and professional you are”

All martial arts emphasize in 3 common things … speed, skills and application.

In my personal opinion, beside all the abovementioned, psychology and mental training is the most important in martial arts ...
