| Houseboat rental: $3870.30 (includes GST and PST) Pre-board cost: $249.00 (plus $34.86 GST and PST) Insurance costs: $123.05 Estimated cost of gas: $300.00 (about $75.00 per day) Damage deposit: $1500.00 (fully refundable) This brings the total to $6077.21 which works out to $405.00 per person, assuming that 15 people commit to the trip. This also includes the refundable damage deposit so you can plan on getting at least $100.00 back as long as we don’t wreck the boat. If we can get 20 people out, this will further reduce costs to about $225.00 per person (after refunded damage deposit) so let’s get as many people as we can. We're hoping to collect money for the trip as soon as possible. This can be by cheque or cash (or wire transfer into my offshore account). Those who get their money in earliest have first choice of sleeping arrangements. If anyone has a truck (or a Pathfinder, Frazer) that they plan on bringing, let us know and we’ll see if we can arrange special financing for transportation of food, alcohol, luggage, etc. Also, if there is anyone who wants to come but can’t stay for the whole trip, we may be able to figure out a reduced cost to allow them to come out as long as there’s room on the boat.
