The Finer Things in Life
To appeal to those with finer tastes. we were thinking that for our last night on the water, Beckie and I (along with some willing volunteers) would cook a nice dinner for everyone on the boat consisting of an entrée of either Steak or B.C. Salmon.  All meals would include garlic bread, Caesar salad, red or white wine, and your choice of grilled vegetables (baby potatoes, garden carrots, and purple onions seasoned to perfection and served on a bed of aluminum foil) or pasta (penne served with a sun-dried tomato and garlic seasoning).  Special arrangements can be made for those wishing a vegetarian meal.

There are a variety of activites on
the lake including parasailing, golf, hot tub fires, hiking on Copper Island, whitewater rafting, jet-skiing, cliff and houseboat diving, alcohol ingestion, and Sean's favourite - fishing.

Beckie and I will be bringing our waterproof digital camera on the trip so anyone who wants a CD of
pictures of the trip can feel free to request one.

A few facts: the
average temperature on the Shuswaps during the month of June is 24 degrees Celsius; the lakes measure hundreds of meters deep in some areas; at any given time during the summer, between 50 and 100 houseboats can be found on the lakes; there are 2 floating seastores on the Shuswaps found at an area called the Narrows where the four arms of the Shuswap meet.
