Welcome to my avatar page. It's not pretty, I know, but then again, it was ten at night, I was working on two hours sleep, and I was supposed to be working on my term paper when this page was created. When I find the time and energy, I'll make it prettier, but for now, it's function over fashion and all that rot.
Here I will post any avatars I make/modify, along with any descriptions that go along with them, such as who made the original ones that I modified, what I did to make my own look the way they do, and what possessed me to create the ones that are my own. After all, my self-esteem doesn't permit me to think that my personal ones, or even my modifications to existing ones, are any good. (The ones I made from scratch have weird dimensions...you'll see that when you look at their descriptions. The modified ones are all 100x100...so far.)
Few rules regarding these little pretties:
#1: You can use them if you wish for your LJ, dj, blurty, message boards, whatever. However, DO NOT DIRECT-LINK. For one thing, it eats up bandwidth (like that's really an issue for me...), and for another thing, it won't work anyway. Geocities won't allow it, because this is a free account. Maybe one day, when I actually have money, I'll be able to afford a site that will allow you to direct link. Until then, though, please save the files elsewhere.
#2.: Like I said before, I don't mind if you use these. But please, if you're going to archive them, give credit where credit is due. I don't want to stumble across an avatar/icon archive, see one of my avatars there, and find out that someone else took credit for it. No. That's just not cool at all. You'll notice that I credited the people who created the original avatars that I modified - please do me the same courtesy. After all, it's hard to make these look halfway decent when working off a crappy school computer that has crap for imaging editors. (It's times like these I really miss my computer with its Photoshop...)
#3.: If you do decide to use one of these, please drop me a note in the guestbook or message board and let me know. It may sound odd, but I like to see how they came out when actually in use.

size=95x84 - Yes, this little gem is mine. I don't really know where the idea came from...it just sort of popped into my skull. It goes along with the tohma one, I guess.*^_^*
size=99x98 - This is the Tohma one. I'm sure you've noticed that the colors are a little washed-out on both of them. Well, I suppose that's what you get for making an avatar using Paint. -_-;; Hopefully, I'll get my computer back soon (with Photoshop!), and I'll be able to redo all of the crappy-colored ones (which is almost all of them, really, except the ones I intentionally added texture to while I was supposed to be doing homework on my dad's computer...)
size=85x86 - My very first avatar. I made it when I first got my Blurty so that I could have a slashy HP avatar. Granted, it's just text, but I love it anyway. It's my baby, after all...
size=96x94 - The inspiration for this one came from the fan-parody "Evangelion:ReDeath", which features "Big Pimpin' Gendo". You can hear the clip for his pimp music here, along with a few other clips from Redeath. It's actually pretty amusing, even if you haven't seen ReDeath. *^_^* This was the first avatar I actually created by cutting and pasting an image.
size=91x87 - My personal favorite, and the first one I did using texture. It's embossed, and was created shortly after I got my LiveJournal so that I'd fit in with everyone else who had slash/yaoi avatars for 'Marriage Protection Week'. Unfortunately, the text is a bit hard to read...it's supposed to say "Because love knows no bounds", but the 'knows' part kinda blended in with the image. Nevertheless, I absolutely adore this one. Maybe I just like the way it came out embossed. Or maybe it's because Shuichi's kissing Yuki. *^_^* I'm such a fangirl...
size=98x90 - I actually think this one is my best thus far. In fact, the only thing I'm really displeased with is the fact that the "I" in "I can't hear you" is way too close to the left edge. I forgot to center it...but then again, it still makes sense even if you don't notice the "I", don't you think? Anyway, this is the second one I did with texture...I can't remember for the life of me which texture I used though. Isn't that terrible? ...Well, I know it wasn't burlap, and I know this one wasn't embossed, so that narrows it down a little. (I think it was called 'sandblasted' or something like that...I'll have to check when I get a chance.)

Anyway, I thought I saw one similar to this that just said "*falls over*", but I couldn't for the life of me find it. So I made this one instead. I kinda liked how this one came out.
size=100x100 - Original, textless version came from Alchemia Dent. This has to be the most random thing I've ever done, and I really don't know why I did it. I'm really not even part of the whole "jailbait" thing. It just kinda...hit me when I saw the blank one of ickle Harry. I don't know...it's weird.
