Beanhole Cooking |
1. Dig a hole about twice the size of your Dutch oven. Make sure the bottom of the hole is loose, and not packed, dirt. 2. Start a charcoal fire in that hole. When hot, rake half to one side. 3. Place the Dutch oven, with meal inside, upon the coals. Place the coals on the side on top of the oven. 4. Bury the oven with the coals. Mark the spot with the shovel! 5. When cooked, dig it up. Be careful--it will be hot! |
