Chocolate Lovers Upside Down Cake |
1 c. flour ¾ c. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder ¼ tsp. salt 5 tsp. cocoa powder ½ c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 Tbsp. melted margarine 1 c. chopped pecans 1 c. boiling water TOPPING: ½ c. sugar ½ c. brown sugar ¼ c. cocoa powder In small pot, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add melted margarine and pecans. Grease and flour Dutch Oven. Pour batter into oven. Combine topping ingredients. Spread mixture over cake batter. Pour 1 c. boiling water over top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. When done, carefully turn oven over with lid on. Attempt to remove cake on lid. When cool, carefully peel off foil and serve. |
