An Interesting, but peculiar
Article published in the " Borneo Post "
newspaper around Anzac Day,
2001 with the Japanese reply listed below
This was the Amazing reply by
retired Japanese Second World War Veteran,
Mr Itsuei Takeda, who obviously
spent the entire course of the war with
his head in a ricepaper bag,
and ever since has not read a book on
the subject. Please make your
own assessment.
I wonder to which Geneva Convention
Treaty he was referring as his country was
not a signatory to nor recognised
any such conventions during WW2 and certainly
the actions of their soldiers,
and the Korean Guards which they also employed, led
to the deaths of around 8000
Australians alone in Asian POW and
Forced Labour Camps
