Yet more acrylic paintings. I actually started out painting in acrylics while in high school. I started doing the dot art series of paintings as a way of telling a story through paint. Footprints or handprints are the marks left behind and colors mean certain things in my world- red is fire, green is forest, blue is water and sometimes sky, yellow is sunlight, earth toned browns and yellows are the earth, and so forth.

This is one of my favorites. I came up with the title while painting. The fire can be a vice, something negative, and the water could be strength or safety.

Notice how all the footprints are going in different directions, as each is following their own direction. The symbols are frequently seen in primitive art as symbols of the circle of life.
