Non-circular Detail View How can I make detail views with rectangular boundaries ? - Brian Villegas < brainvillegas_hunt@aol.com > Begining V15, Solid Edge allows you to make non-circular detail views too. After you click the Detail View tool, select the Define Profile option on the ribbon bar. This takes you to the sketcher mode, where you can draw an area of any shape. Click Finish when done. Part Visibility How do I control Part Visibility in Assembly Views ? - Manas Raje (from Wellington) < manas.raje@vbd.co.nz > Click an assembly view to highlight it. Right click the selected view and choose Properties. On the Drawing View Properties dialog box, take the Display tab. In the Parts list tree view, select parts to hide. To select all occurences of a part, right click on the Part node and select Select All Occurrences. See figure. On the right side of the tree view, remove the check mark from the Show check box. Note the change in node icon in the tree view. OK in the dialog box. Click the Update Views tool on the Drawing Views toolbar. | |

Start the Cutout or the Hole command. Pick the angled plane. Draw a circle or place the hole with the point as center. See figure. | |
Indicate the direction towards the face on which you sketched the point. The figure besides tells the story. | |
