    Q 54. Cannot Revolve

    In revolved protrusion I cannot select sketches for profile and axis ?

    Evan, for revolved protrusion :

  • You cannot select entities from different sketches for cross-section and axis.


  • You cannot select a non-linear segment (eg. arc) as axis.





    • Q 55. Replace Dimension Text

    In AutoCAD dimensions text can be replaced by deleting <> and replacing with anything, How to do this in SE ?

    In Solid Edge, blank out the dimension text by clicking on the dimension and then selecting the Dimension Type button on the ribbon bar.

    Take the last greyed out (X) option.

    Immediately click the Prefix button and add the required value - this will appear in the dimension text.





    Q 56. Create in Place

    I am unable to select multiple occurrences for reference in the Create in Place command ?

    I believe you are referring to the Inter-Part Copy command.

    Simply use the command twice and select the required parts in multiple steps.

    Note however, that you can select multiple faces from a part in each Insert operation.
