Learning Japanese numbers is not difficult: once you have leaned the 13 main numbers, you can derive all numbers up to 1,000,000.

Notice that there is a special word for 10,000:  man.

4 is considered to be an unlucky number. 4 (shi) sonds just like the word for 'death'.
