True Love Never Dies

CHAPTER9

After Seiya’s kisses Usagi began to feel better (and with those kisses who wouldn’t?) Seiya stopped and took Usagi’s hand in his. This surprised Usagi very much. Seiya had a serious expression on his face.

-Odango, I know this is kinda sudden, but I don’t think that there will be a better time than this and …to tell the truth, I just can’t wait. You know that I have loved you ever since we met, ever since I first saw you, I knew that I had to be with you. I always tried to see you, no matter what, I risked my life for you whenever I could and I would do it again. That is because I love you. And I wanted to ask you.

Seiya knelt down and he was completely looking at Usagi’s eyes and her face, which was getting more red by the second. Seiya’s eyes were filled with hope and love. He felt fear and he said in a low, shaking, hopeful voice: -Will you marry me? -Seiya took out a box out of his pocket, took a beautiful diamond ring out of it and put it on Usagi’s finger.

Usagi was in complete shock. She stood there with her mouth opened and her eyes popped up, looking at Seiya, who was still kneeling to her and holding her hand. When she recovered, she had a huge smile on her face.

-A hundred times YES!!!!!! -she said and jumped in his arms when he was standing up.

Seiya smiled.

-I wasn’t sure you would , but I am more than happy about your answer. I know it is a very hard time for you now, but I just couldn’t wait.

-Are you kidding? This was the dream of my life! Why wouldn’t I want to spend my life with the cutest guy I know?

-So when shall we tell the others?

-Let’s tell right now!

-Odango, do you know what time it is?

-Oops, you’re right. It’s late. Let’s tell them tomorrow, but now let’s go to sleep. -Usagi said and ran faster towards her house, holding her fiancé’s hand.

They soon reached the house and unlocked the door.

-Good evening, seems we’ll have a guest tonight. -said a black cat.

-Hi, Luna! -said Usagi. -Seiya is staying over tonight, hope you don’t mind, do you?

-No, of course not. He is always welcome here.

-Hey, Luna, aren’t you spending the night at Artemis’s house?

-What? Eh, no… -Luna said, but saw Usagi’s mean face and said, -why yes, I was just going to. -the kitty said and went through the door. She grumbled saying: She treats me just like a slave or a toy, I am too good for her.

Seiya sweat dropped seeing all this and asked:

-What was that all about?

-What do you mean? -said Usagi with an innocent expression on her face.

-You made Luna go away. I guess that’s okay for me. But I don’t know if you’re safe with me. He…he…he -Seiya said with a devilish smile on his face and Usagi laughed.

-Well, I guess we have to go to school tomorrow, so let’s go to sleep right away. I’ll bring you some clothes of my dad, so you’ll have something to wear. You can’t sleep like this, you know!

-But I could…

-What are you thinking? We are engaged, but that doesn’t mean that we can…

Seiya became red.

-What? I didn’t mean that! I was just going to suggest that I would turn into Fighter.

-Oh? Usagi started to blush. -Well, go and get a shower and I’ll make your bed ready.

-OK. -Seiya said and left.

Usagi walked up the stairs to her room and made the other bed ready. She put her hand on the bed and said silently:

-Here will my fiancé sleep. -She giggled after saying that. -Let’s see, Mr. and Mrs. Kou, Usagi Kou. I like the way that sounds!

Usagi sat on her bed. She saw Seiya come in only with a towel. Usagi blushed and then remembered something.

-I thought you kicked this habit, since the last time Chibi-Chibi tried to steal your towel!

-Well, there’s no Chibi-Chibi around now, so I’m safe.

-Here, put these on. -Usagi said and gave him some clothes (pjs) and asked him to go in to the other room. When Seiya went away, she was going to get ready for sleep herself, but when she was taking her shirt off, Seiya walked in.

-Hey, who let you come in?

-Gomen, I’ll just turn around and you be quick. -Seiya said and turned around. He didn’t have to wait long, but in between he tried to turn around and see Usagi.

-Will we go to sleep now? -he asked impatiently. -I’m tired, you know!

-You go ahead and sleep in your bed, I’ve got to handle something first.

Seiya jumped on his bed and put his arms over his head.

-I’ll wait. -he said.

Usagi took something out of her bookshelf and began writing in it. She was writing about half an hour.

-What are you writing, Odango? I thought you would be quick about it.

-I’m writing my diary about yesterday and today. I’m almost done.

-Diary? -asked Seiya excited and jumped off his bed. -May I see?

-I don’t know about your Galaxy, but here diary’s a secret.

-But I’m your fiancé, we have to tell each other everything!

-I haven’t told you everything and so haven’t you.

-What do you want to know?

-About your love life. -said Usagi. –I’ll tell you mine. First, I was in love with Motoki and some other cute guys. Then I found out about Mamoru being my destiny and I thought I fell in love with him, then I met you and you know the rest.

-I had never been in love, only one time. She has beautiful blue eyes and golden hair, shaped in two odangos. She is very beautiful, nice and bright.

Usagi started to blush really hard.

-Well, now I can read you my diary, if you insist. “Dear diary, today and yesterday were very hard, but also nice days. I enjoyed the kisses I shared with Seiya, they felt wonderful! But I must say that they were not as good as the ones I shared with Haruka…-Usagi looked at Seiya, who was very surprised and mad also.

-You kissed Haruka? Yuck! She’s a girl!

Usagi first giggled, then she couldn’t stop laughing.

-Are you jealous? Don’t worry. It’s not true. I simply wanted to see your expression! -Usagi said, still laughing.

-I’ll prove that my kisses are the best. -Seiya said. He took Usagi in his arms and kissed her so deeply that Usagi almost fainted. -See? -Seiya said and let go of her.

-I was just kidding. No one can compete what you do, especially not your kisses.

-I am the best! -Seiya said in a mighty voice.

-Okay now, let’s go to sleep.

Haruka , Michiru and Setsuna were sitting and talking.

-I thought that Nyaga would only take control of Mars.

-I thought so too, but she took all of them away. I had seen only Mars covered, but the black fog was very quick and it covered all the inner planets. It didn’t cover Earth because Earth has no special powers and the Moon is protected by an energy shield. -Michiru said.

-Yes that’s true. -Setsuna said and looked at both of them. Then she changed the subject. -The Gate of Time is being threatened, so I have to leave you until it is all right again.

-But I thought that someone was guarding it while you were here. -Haruka remembered.

-I know, but things are getting much too serious, so I can’t stay. But I am sending another Senshi to take my place, because you might need help.

-Who? -Haruka asked in a curious voice.

-Haruka, this is serious! -Michiru said and looked at Haruka with a mean expression.

-Hey, calm down, Michiru, I’m just curious. What’s with that temper?

-Well, it’s not nice to interrupt, you know!

-Sorry, Setsuna, go on.

-She is Sailor Proserpine. She is the Senshi of Hurricane. She should appear as I leave. You can find out more about her from herself. Now -Setsuna stood up. -is time for me to leave. -she said and turned into Sailor Pluto. -See you soon.

-Come back soon. -said both Michiru and Haruka.

-I will. But there is still one thing I have to do.

Pluto turned towards Hotaru’s room and slowly walked in that direction. She opened the door quietly, trying not to wake the sleeping child up. She walked in as quietly as she could and bent towards Hotaru’s direction. She kissed Hotaru’s forehead and tucked her in, then she disappeared.

Haruka and Michiru were waiting for the new Senshi to arrive. The curiosity could have killed Haruka, but Michiru was really calm and was only interested in the powers this Sailor Proserpine had.

Soon a light covered the room, making the two feel strange. In the light you could recognize a female figure, which was getting clearer by the second. A few seconds later, there she was, standing proudly in front of Haruka and Michiru, making the two speechless. Haruka stood up and analyzed the girl. She was a little shorter than Michiru, with a perfect figure and an even more perfect face. She looked about as old as Michiru and Haruka, maybe a year younger. But anyway, her dark purple curly hair was a perfect match to her light violet eyes. She was dressed in a long, light violet dress, which fit her perfectly. Haruka could not say a word, but then she came up to her and greeted her warmly:

-Welcome to Earth, Sailor Proserpine.

-Please, don’t call me that. My name is Kaite Naikavi on Earth.

-So, Kaite, what powers do you poses? -asked Michiru.

-Come now, Michiru, is that your first word to our guest? -Haruka said and turned at Kaite. Haruka was looking at her with a flirtatious gaze and Kaite returned the gaze. Michiru watched them coldly and silently, then looked at Kaite also. Something was wrong about her, but Michiru could not recognize what. Michiru thought that it was only her being jealous, but however hard she tried, she felt something strange, strange and not good. Whatever she felt, she did not want to show it to Kaite. So she kept silent until when she was alone with Haruka.

-Sweet dreams. -Haruka said and kissed Michiru.

-Haruka?

-Yes?

-What do you think of her?

-I think she’s nice.

-Didn’t you feel something strange about her?

-What? No, of course not, you’re just imagining things, Michiru.

-I’m serious!

-Aha, I see! You’re jealous that I like her, that’s it!

-No, I’m not! -denied Michiru. -Or maybe I should be?

-Maybe.

-Well, then maybe you don’t need me anymore, do you? -Michiru said teasing and walked out of bed.

-No, Michiru wait, I was just kidding! -Haruka shouted.

At the other room Kaite was sleeping. A strange energy field was surrounding her.
