ENLIGHTENMENT # 6

Yes. I screwed up. I believed the word of a friend Instead of checking it out myself thoroughly the way I usually do. I thought that the problems at Olivet stemmed from a story that I told someone at Michigan State University. I am honest enough to admit when I make a mistake, and I apologize for any inconviences. BUT while double checking my sources, I found more evidence of the JFK-George Bush (the elder). Sunday February 16, 1992 Headline for Detroit News: "Backers say Bush could 'take a hit' in New Hampshire." Pisses me off.

Wow! In my last Enlightenment, I placed a Bible verse. I also used the 'J' word (Jesus). The radio/TV evangelists had a field day with me. One radio evangelist said a few things unique to me, then slammed back at me with a very ouchy verse about lacking love, 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

Know that I do love. What one reads from me is the culmination of events hitherto unnoticed by me that were the result of hatred directed at me. If one wants the best descriptions of me, one need only ask the people who know me. One can EVEN ask those who do not like me. People who try to judge me just by the things I have written are like frogs at the bottom of a well taking what little speck of light seen to be the entire sky.

Appropos to this little situation, I suppose that I could find another verse with which to slam back, but this would divisibly degenerate into something ugly, petty, and would detract from the reasons for the Enlightenments.

I understand that I will be made to look the bad guy. O evil me. But honestly, I do not stereotype the Jewish people. They stereotype themselves. This is what happens to a people who refuse to change. One need only to read the old classics like "The Brothers Karamazov" (1879), "Candide" (1759), or "The Canterbury Tales" (1380); respectively written by Dostoevsky, Voltaire, and Chaucer. In them, one can see the marks made on the minds of some of history's greatest writers by these people. Note that none were written in the 20th century.

Of the Old Testament of the bible, I have issues. Of the New Testament of the Bible I am fond. I make no secret of it. I am a man of the scientific method, and have been able to interpolate a prophecy in the New Testament that alludes to space travel.

Yes, Space Travel. I think that I am the only man in the two-thousand years since it was written to discover this. I don't even think that the Disciple John knew what he was writing about. Or maybe he did. It is in Revelations 6:12-6:14.

After the opening of the sixth seal and subsequent earthquake(?), Revelations 6:12 goes on to describe what one would see when one begins to enter faster-than-light space travel. The Sun would seem to darken, the Moon seem to shift in spectra, and the stars would fly toward you like "ripe fruit from a tree shaken by a strong wind," under which one is standing. By that time, one would have obviously have left the Earth, the sky receding quickly past, and all of the things of Earth no longer visible. The only thing that I cannot figure out is the earthquake. It may just be some coincidental geological event that happens before the space travel, or the liftoff of a very heavy rocket.

Anyone having problems envisioning this need only tune in to Star Trek: Voyager, and watch as the starship jumps to Warp Speed. This among other things let me know that the New Testament is quite legit, so I say again:

More than Christian, be Christlike; Else yourself declare On Strike. One John two verse twenty-two; What, think you, would Jesus do?
