Leonard M. Carroll

Managing Director, Chairman and Treasurer




Mr. Carroll has a long and successful career in business and commercial banking. He began his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a CPA, and in 1970 became Chief Financial Officer and a Director of United Data Services, Inc., a data processing company providing record-keeping services to the banking industry in Northwestern Pennsylvania.

In 1973, he became Chief Financial Officer of First Seneca Bank, eventually was named its President and Chief Executive Officer, and then was elected as a Director.

In 1987, he became Vice Chairman of Pennbancorp, a multi-bank holding company operating throughout Western Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for the daily operation of its member banks, including First Seneca Bank, and other related companies.

In 1989, Pennbancorp merged into what became Integra Financial Corporation, a publicly-held financial services company with $15 billion in assets and 260 banking offices in Western Pennsylvania, with affiliates in the mortgage, investment, consumer finance, commercial leasing, and insurance businesses. Mr. Carroll served as President and Chief Operating Officer, and as a Director until Integra Financial Corporation's merger into National City Corporation in 1996. During his tenure, the assets of Integra Financial Corporation grew 150% through internal sources and a series of acquisitions.

Mr. Carroll was a Director of Quaker State Corporation until its merger into Pennzoil Corporation in 1998, and is currently a Director of Ampco-Pitsburgh Corporation. He is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and currently serves as Chairman of Westminster College's Board of Trustees.

Mr. Carroll holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business from Gannon College, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
