Russell J. Warren is President of The TransAction Group, advisors to private and public companies on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, which he founded in 1987. As President he leads client engagements in many manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors, with some concentration in technology-driven manufacturing, food, consumer products, and distribution. He is also active in the firm's valuation practice. Previously, Mr. Warren was Partner-in-Charge of Merger and Acquisitions Services for Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) and Chairman of their Merger and Acquisition Services Committee. As a National Office Partner for eleven years, he worked full-time advising North American and overseas clients on important transactions and investments. He was also Senior Partner in a venture capital study for the Asian Development Bank in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, and in a study of acquisition implementation for the American Bankers Association.

Mr. Warren has served as President of M&A International, the world's leading international merger and acquisition network (of which his firm is a member); as President of the Association for Corporate Growth, a nonprofit corporate development organization of 3,000 members from 2,000 companies throughout North America and Europe; and as President of the Harvard Business School Club of Northeastern Ohio. He is a Trustee of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, a member of the Visiting Committees for the Weatherhead School of Management and the Case School of Engineering, and is on the Advisory Board of Shaker Investments, a money management firm. Mr. Warren earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a master's degree from Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
