Flexibility Training
Flexibility training is vital for warming up the body and for achieving a high degree of proficiency in your techniques. It is also an important factor in the prevention of pulled muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Flexibility allows you to achieve greater speed, power, and accuracy.
Although, you may never achieve a full leg split, everyone, no matter what age, is capable of greately improving his or her flexibility over a period of time by following a regular stretching routine. Make it a point to stretch with a partner as well when possible.

When stretching your legs, you should lock your knees in place while stretching as far as you can. You should also keep your toes pointing up. Flexibility is greater achieved when you hold the stretch for a few seconds rather than bouncing along while you are counting.

It is important to stretch for at least 15 minutes before your training and also stretch for a few minutes after training to avoid injuries to your body.
