The third annual New England Japan Bowl was held on March 5th at Showa Boston.  The even was a great success, with schools from all over New England represented.  A total of 27 BLA students studying Japanese in level 2 and 3 participated in this daylong academic language competition, demonstrating their skills and knowledge of Japanese. Over all BLA teams performed very well, scoring higher than many other teams and demonstrating a great spirit.

In addition to the competition, students were invited to various cultural workshops.  They also enjoyed Japanese food at the special reception that followed the event.  All participating students received many compliments for their hard work, enthusiasm and great teamwork.  They are already excited about participating in the Japan Bowl next year and have returned their study of Japanese with increased enthusiasm.  Go BLA!
