Sanc was destroyed, and the children of King Peacecraft scattered. The heir of the pacifist counrty was taken in by Romefeller...and remade a soldier. He vowed to destroy his family's murderers, and considereing himself no longer a Peacecraft, he took the name Zechs Merquise, hiding first behind sunglasses, later behind the famous mask. At the age of fifteen, he got the chance to prove himself. With Treize evaluating his technique, the former prince went into combat to protect the Darlian estate. He rescued the young "Relena Darlian", but left her with the cryptic statement, "I am a prince of the stars." Name origin: Zechs- "six", Milliard-  "million"
