Damned World

This world is cynical and untrusting
It is as frozen as the winter snow
Undeniably devoid of feeling
Life here is constantly bitter and low

Evil and strife lurk in every corner
No one can be saved from pain and hunger
All's forgotten, even joy and laughter
No one is happy, all remain somber

Morals and virtues are all forgotten
No light will shine in this forsaken land
Sweet berries and fruits have all turned rotten
Lethal poison is a part of the land

NB. Please excuse my obvious excesses and pessimism. This is, after all, an artistic view of the world; part of it to be exact.
