It felt like an alien thing that menacingly tried to pierce every bit of flesh in her limp body. The darkness that once brought her comfort now seemed an emblem of all the lost in her life. It was casting the inevitable shadow in the little light of sanity left within her soul. Her swollen eyes refused to shed more tears. It seemed like she exhausted every bit of water in her eyes to wash away the painful truth they held in their crystal gaze. The room was spinning and she was losing the battle.
A pair of blue orbs was materializing in the back of her mind. Those blue orbs that once gave her so much joy now filled her heart with despair. However, the despair in her heart was slowly being swallowed by the void in her soul. A void that threatened to possess her completely was slowly growing within her. Gone were the days of peace and bliss; laughter and sadness; comfort and pain. All that was left was an empty vessel.

The glass in her hand shattered in her now bloody hands. Wonderful pain... It felt so good to feel again, to recover from the growing numbness of insanity. The crimson liquid made its way to her arms and was now staining her naked chest. A rather big and sharp piece of glass was lying near her deadened hand. With one final look on the unusual beauty of the crystal, she grabbed it and let it give her the final wave of feeling she so desperately longed for.
