INTERVIEWS
Interview from Tortured Soul Webzine
   answered by Eric

Daniel Damnation: Give us a short history of the band.

Eric: Well, the band formed about a year and a half ago, when our drummer got out of jail. We had all been friends for a while but just never put it together.

DD: What are your main influences?

Eric: We listen to alot of different shit. I'd say Sepultura, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Mortician, Dying Fetus, Devourment, shit like that.

DD: Describe your band to people who have never heard you?

Eric:  We're not your typical death metal band, we're mostly all about the mosh. We're not super technical or flashy, more angry and primal. It's more music to kill people by, rather than head bang to. Made by maniacs for maniacs.

DD: What is the best show you have ever played?

Eric: The best show we played was a battle of the bands at Harpos here in detroit.

DD:What are your lyrics mainly about?

Eric: Their a little psychotic and incoherent as a whole, but mostly deal with things like fetuses, rape, defecating organs, girl scouts, all sorts of depraved surgeries and general misfortune.

DD: What should we expect from Septic Asphyxiation in the future?

Eric: We plan to keep it sick, keep kickin ass and taking no shit. We're shoppin the demo around right now, looking for labels.

DD: Any Last words?

Eric: Kill yourselfs.
Interview with Centra Webzine, answered by Eric
Boy: Greetings Eric, tell me a short history of your band.

Eric: Well Justin (vox), and I used to make all sorts of twisted music for the hell of it. Then one day, our buddy manny (drummer) set up his kit again, and we decided, why the hell don't we have a band. Another buddy Brandon (bass) was quickly added. That was about a year and a half ago, since then we've wrote a bunch more songs, played shows and caused general chaos and mayhem.

Boy: Would you describe Septic Asphyxiation to our viewers who haven't heard it before?

Eric: We are Rape metal. The first, the only. We're deathmetal based on songs the make people want to kill themselves and people around them. We're not hyper-technical instead favoring primal violent insanity. Made by maniacs, for maniacs.

Boy: What inspire Septic Asphyxiation's creations?

Eric: We're a product of four minds, each of which is sick, twisted and has many problems. We're a fusion of maniacs resulting in one output of violent, hate filled mosh anthems and some sludged out grindcore blasts. We draw our inspiration from our hate for society and the world in general.

Boy: How's your connection with the underground scene.

Eric: We're starting to get the word out there, and we're starting to get noticed more. As far as other bands go, we know alot of them, but don't really get along. Alot of bands these days produce sick music but are fake as fuck.

Boy: Does Sx Ax have any new material ready for release?

Eric: All of our songs have been recorded in one way or another, but not all have been mass produced. We are always coming up with new material though.

Boy: Any label offers yet?

Eric: No, we're trying to find someone to take a chance on us, as we are very non basic deathmetal (blast blast gurgle). We have recieved good feedback, but no offers.

Boy: To what extent do you consider your music oldschool?

Eric:  Our drummer has a sort of oldschool style with more southern "looseness" to it. Alot of people compare Justins vocals to old Chris Barnes, so I guess you could call that oldschool, even though he screams loud.

Boy: What do you want to creat with your music? What emotions do you want to bring forth?

Eric: We're an outlet for angry people. Every ting we write pretty much has a groove to it that you could swing your fist to. We don't dabble in black metal or anything like that. For us, our music is an anger release and an adrenalin rush.

Boy: What are you lyrics about?

Eric:  Justin writes some of the lyrics, and i Write some, so even though theres 2 authors, the subject matter is pretty much the same. Our lyrics are mainly about rape, fetuses, feces, genatalia, sex, lots  of violence, and plenty of psychotic references that dont quite add up.

Boy: Now, what are your future plans with SxAx?

Eric:  Keep up the same old sickness. We plan to keep playing shows, writing new material, and of course we are hoping to find a label to release our shit to a bigger audience.

Boy: Success, Please your last Disembowelment?

Eric: Thansk for the interview, keep shit sick, and kill yourselves.
