Where can you Dance Sequence ?????? |
Dance Schools There are Dance Schools in most areas which hold beginners classes and teach the basic steps with experienced teachers just waiting to help you ...........no need to be embarrassed everyone has to start somewhere The first Dance School you try might not suit you but don't give up try somewhere else ......... you don't buy the first pair of shoes you try on in the first shop do you? Once you have mastered the basic steps the schools will also have classes of different levels so you're sure to find one that suits you. The Dance Schools listed will welcome enquiries |
Of course you could always teach yourself, or just get an insight to Sequence Dancing through books or video, but it's much more fun sharing mishaps with others of the same ilk ............................................................we won't laugh at you but with you |

Dance Clubs There are Dance Clubs held in a variety of places from Church Halls to Working Men's Clubs. They take place mornings (coffee dance) afternoons (tea dance) or evenings (sequence/social dance). If you have danced before and/or don't want to take lessons why not pop along to a Dance Club where the people are friendly and helpful. Newcomers are always made welcome but, once again, you may need to try several clubs before finding one that suits your level of dancing. Some clubs cater for those who have a limited knowledge of social/popular sequence dances ie Square Tango, Mayfair Quickstep etc and their members are happy to dance a few well-known dances week after week. Other clubs cater for only those who want to 'keep up' with the newest/latest dances, so beginners should avoid these untill they are more at ease and feel they can cope.. Then there are many clubs like ours that try to cater for all levels of dancers. |
Most Dance Clubs/Schools enjoy the company of occassional/one-off visitors to their area ..........................why not 'pop in' when you're on holiday. Wherever or whenever you visit you'll be made welcome, many friendships have been formed "at the Dance". Many Dance Clubs/Schools organise dancing holidays where the member 'up sticks' for a few days, a week or even longer to "trip the light fantastic" elsewhere such as Butlins, Blackpool or Benidorm. You never know we might "bump into each other".........not literally I hope, if we're visiting the same place |
You can either opt for a Dance School or a Dance Club I show below a resume of them both. |
