					My interest and participation in the arts began at an early age.  As I grew up I tried my hand at many different things, and in my early 20's I stumbled into needle arts.  It was my interest in needle arts (which introduced me to working with a needle and seed beads) that ultimately led me to jewelry designing. I began designing beaded jewelry in 1995.  My younger sister was really into stringing funky beads at the time, and I picked up her hobby.  Little did I know what was in store.  Up until then I had really only experimented with a very small, unsophisticated beading loom (you know, that cheap unstable one every craftsperson buys at their local supply store for $6.99). Many hours were spent designing and stringing the beautiful beads found.  Over the years, I experimented with more intricate designs and tried working with many different mediums.  I now enjoy working with sterling silver, incorporating Czech glass beads as well as gemstone beads and faceted gemstones. After a year or so, my finished pieces were beginning to add up, and I began selling my work.  In June of 2000, I created and designed this web site.  In December 2001 I started participating in local art fairs and craft boutiques in the state of California and have been successfully doing so for over 7 years now.  Michelle Karch     Owner/Designer
