As I've continued my reading  on the occult and wicca/witchcraft I'm left with questions about symbolism.  Modern Christians use a cross as the symbol for their religion.  Pagans and/or witches use the pentacle, which is a five pointed star surrounded by a circle. The five points represent earth, air, fire, water, and spirit, with the circle representing the continuity of all things, the wheel of the year, etc.  I respect both symbols, to each their own.  What bothers me about this is other people's reaction to me displaying my symbol of faith (the pentacle).  How could it go from a revered symbol of nature, life, and protection to something  that supposedly represents evil (the devil)??  I see pentacles all the time, just look at police badges!!!  (for examples, see actual badges below).  Do people's eyes bug out when they see a policeman's badge like they do when I wear  pentacle jewelry or sport my pentacle suncatcher in my car??  I doubt so (unless they were up to no good in the first place!! lol)  Any thoughts?
Just about everyone has heard how unlucky the number 13 is...but have you ever stopped to wonder why??  Again, modern mainstream religions would have you believe it's because 13 is associated with witchcraft (13 is commonly the number of  members in a witches coven).  There are 13 moons in a year (everyone knows that's when all the witches come out to play, right? lol) BUT ....didn't Jesus have  12 disciples??  Add on the J- man himself and what do you have?     13!!  So what's the big deal with the number 13??
****UPDATE****
I'm trying to set up a blog on my site.....message me with any thoughts on this if you wish.  I'm definitely interested....
