HURT -Volume I and Volume  II
I can really attune myself to some of their anti-mainstream songs.  Check out "The Rapture" on Volume I or "Talking to God" on Volume II.  I'm really digging "The Abuse of Sid" right now as well.  Darker, relevant,  thought-provoking music, but without all the growling and screaming.  You'll hear  languishing acoustic guitars and soft croons  to chill you out and soften up your defenses  just before the  song's message spikes you between the eyes with a gutteral guitar rip or two!!!  I love it!
Chevelle-Vena Sera
Their latest offering.  Check out "I get it" or "Saturdays".  Powerful guitars and driving beats that feel almost like anthems  set you to head shaking.... what more could you ask for?   Also very relevant for current times.  Who gives a shit if  some people dismiss them as "Christian Rock"?
Dope-Felons and Revolutionaries
Okay, so I'm being somewhat of  a hypocrit in recommending a band that names itself after something I'm totally against,  but I can't help myself!!  There's  pure unadultered  outrage, anger, injustices, hypocrisies and sometimes just outright  lewdness and violence in this music, but DAMN!  These boys sure can hook ya with a beat!!  Reminds me of Marilyn Manson/NIN a bit,  both of which I like.  Check out "Sick" or "Debonaire" and get ready to move your body!  You won't be disappointed!
