Our first big exam is tomorrow, so this'll be a short entry. As I've stated previously, I feel pretty good going into this. Spending four hours a day in class, then oh-so-many more studying afterwards really seems to be helping me keep this stuff in my head.

An interesting thing I've noted, I seem to be reading in spurts. I made it through Secrets of Mariko and Shogun's Ghost in a couple of days, but I've barely touched Modern Japan through its Weddings (which despite the title is a very interesting book) since then. After the exam would probably the best time to tackle the last through chapters, because then I could snag a few more books from the library before the academic building closes up for the weekend (I saw an interesting looking book on the Japanese police the last time I was there). I can almost guarantee a major bar expedition tomorrow night, although I'm not sure what kind of shape I'll be in since I'm feeling just a bit too wound up tonight to get much sleep tonight (just call me Too Much Coffee Man).

That and I need to restock my cupboard, a much more noble use of my funds. Grf. Poo on you nasty ol' common sense.
