The long delayed monsoon season has finally arrived. It's been raining continuously (sometimes pouring, sometimes just a drizzle) since yesterday with no end in sight, which I'm just fine with, because I like the rain. I could just spend all day watching it rain through the window and have a perfectly good time while doing so. Problem is that I'm almost out of food, so I'm going to have to venture out into that mess sometime soon. Why does the pretty have to inconvenience me so terribly? One might almost get the impression that the world was not setup solely for my own benefit. I get some scary thoughts late at night…
Unfortunately, evilness in great amounts occurred to my first set of ikebana pictures, so I borrowed another digital camera and took some replacements. This means no 'before' pictures, which I'm sure has completely crushed everyone's spirits. I can here the whimpering from here.
My bad, I accidentally sat on someone's small child. Anyway, here is the picture of my pretty flowers.

For the first time in several days I was afflicted with a terrible case of homesickness. The cause? I was in the lounge, and decided to flip through the TV to see what was on. And, while doing so, I realized just how long it's been since I've watched an episode of Law and Order. I really wanted to go home right then…
So, my list for the next time I'm in Japan has had an additional entry added: along with my giant tub of peanut butter, I'm also bringing a big tape full of Law and Order episodes.
