I was back on my feet today, having successfully conquered my bout of tummy troubles. And what did I do to celebrate my victory? Why I went to class, and reviewed, and studied, and then studied some more, and then for a break watched the rest of Trigun. I've seen worse endings, but that one sure left me grumpy.

In between studying and what not, I also handed out the rest of my Parker Pen sets (thanks Dad!) to Mellville, Kabuta, and Shiojima sensei. I also included a nice hand written note on that wonderful thank you stationary I brought with me (thanks Mom! [never mind that I was supposed to use those to write thank you notes for my Christmas presents… I guess it's better to feel like half a tool instead of the entire socket wrench set]), which also included the little self-caricature that has come to be known by everyone (read: just me) as Super D-chan. If you look at it just right, it appears to be a blobby bearded thing in a jacket (so in other words, a spitting image). I don't think it's going to do my grades any good, but at least I feel good about having done it.

I think tomorrow I'm finally going to make one last trip to Vida City. I'm definitely going to pick up all the Trigun Manga I can. I know that there is a lot more story in there than what they crammed into the TV series, and even with how little I can read, I'm sure it will be so much more satisfying.

Oh yes, I almost forget. Apparently to show off our new mad koto skillz, those who took lessons have been asked if we could play the koto during the closing ceremonies. I guess I'll simply have to wear my kimono now (and get someone to take lots of pictures, because I got a feeling I'm going to be getting' all jiggy wit' it, koto style!)
