Matthew Jody "Diddle" Hundley
May 26, 1983  -  May 21, 2004
I really had to debate with myself about doing this little tribute to "Diddle".  Only because I've hurt before over lost love ones and with this rare case I have no closure.  My fiance and I were both blessed with the priviledge of meeting "Diddle" at different times in our lives me having grown up with him from a young age and my fiance having met him years after he met me.  We became fast friends spending lots of time together.  He became our best friend.  And though we never realized while he was still here how much he meant to us.   Almost every day we talked or seen him.   Jeremy, my fiance, had seen him the day of his death and talked happily with him about his birthday and we he and I was going to do since we shared the same birthday and since we became friends we always spent our birthdays together.   "Diddle" was excited about a camping trip he and his brother and a few friends were heading to that night.    He bought some supplies and food  and headed out.    The next thing Jeremy and I knew the phone was ringing at 4:30 in the morning.  the voice on the other end saying diddle was murdered having been pushed off the bridge.  Later other details came out .   But nothing about who did this or why.    It is a full blown murder case and i have a feeling what we find out when it's said and done will bring us and "Diddle"'s family to  our knees.  but for now it's a mystery and there is no closure.  Even the funeral, which was beautiful by the way gave no closure.

A Little about our beloved friend "Diddle"
His obituary:
"Diddle" was a very talented guitarist and spent much of his life longing to be a proffessional musician/singer/songwriter.  His favorite were The Doors.  But liked all genres of music.  I had the opportunity to expose him to my own favorite Matchbox Twenty and he almost instantly fell in love with it even naming his guitar after his favorite mb20 song "Desease"  He would make a point to learn every Mb20 song he could to play for me.  We took him along with us to one of mb20's concerts and I hold on to that memory as my happiest moment with "Diddle"  he had such a blast.   Music was my connection with "Diddle", but my fiance's connection with him was movies, boxing, and wrestling.  of which "Diddle" held dear.   He even were a gold boxing glove charm around his neck.    We miss him so much.
