DOGS HAVE MASTERS;
CATS HAVE SERVANTS.

Cat Ballou

Our cat, Louie, was abandoned and we rescued him from an animal shelter in Collinsville, Illinois. He made himself right at home, acting as if he owned the place - and has been nice enough to allow us to stay!

Does anyone else have a cat that likes cabbage???
What about popcorn?
And he goes absolutely nuts at the slightest scent of ham!

Louie talks constantly, wakes us up every morning 15 minutes before the alarm is supposed to go off, sticks his paw into our bowls of ice cream, and then licks it clean before sticking it back in for another bite. And he has a thing for plastic - anything plastic! He has spent the whole morning licking the shower curtain, a raincoat, bubble wrap for mailing, and now we have to go rescue him from a stray plastic bag he seems to have found in the other room.

He's a pain in the you-know-what and we love him dearly. Our lives would be so *ordinary* without him in it!

February 15, 2002:
I couldn't figure out what was wrong with him when I first saw his face and paws covered with this odd yellow color. Then I went downstairs and saw the mess on the table. Louie had gone to town on the beautiful roses I had received for Valentine's Day. There were bits of chewed up rose petals all over the place and the table was covered with a thin dusting of yellow pollen.

Gotta love him... *sigh*
