Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Powers: Cottonmouth possesses enhanced jaw and neck muscles and steel teeth enabling him to bite with sufficient force to crush cinderblock or deform metals softer than iron, to hang from rope by his teeth for up to an hour, and to open his mouth larger than the size of a human head. Abilities: Cottonmouth has above average hand-to-hand combat experience, and his jaw muscles are Class 10 strength. Weapons: None Paraphernalia: Cottonmouth's costume is a synthetic stretch material from unknown origin. History: The most mysterious of the founding members of the Serpent Society, one thing is certain about Cottonmouth: he is one of the most bloodthirsty and ruthless members of the criminal organization. Just his "power" is gruesome, but the way he uses his steel teeth to maim and kill is brutal. During the mission to murder MODOK, Cottonmouth and Death Adder were the ones able to slay him with ease. Unfortunately, intereference from Captain America left Cottonmouth eating his shield, and act that often occurred when he battled the star-spangled hero. Cottonmouth was also the "ringleader" in the mission where Porcupine "claimed" to have defeated Captain America in battle. Fortunately for him, he was not defeated with Cap's shield, but rather by being tossed into his fellow serpents.. He had a little "partnership" kind of deal with Death Adder, which was cute, and he was obviously hurt when Death Adder died. During Viper's invasion, Cottonmouth falsely pretended to side with Sidewinder, but took the first opportunity he had to turn on his teammates who didn't side with Viper. Once more, the shield did him in. During the battle with the X-Men, Cottonmouth attempted to bite Psylocke's head off, but was electrocuted by Storm (quite the ladies' man, Cottonmouth?). He also voted guilty during Diamondback's trial, and fought Captain America with Fer-de-Lance soon after. However, this time, he was not hit in the mouth with the shield, but rather in the gut, leaving Cottonmouth heaving for air. He also appeared during the battles with Jack Flag and Free Spirit, but soon disappeared from the Serpent Society ranks. Apparently imprisoned, he worked alongside Hawkeye and a few other villains after breaking free from prison. He also battled Black Panther with some other villains, so he must've made new friends without the Society. He wasn't seen in the Disassembled storyline, so it can be assumed Cottonmouth no longer wishes to serve alongside the Serpent Society. But who knows? Maybe he'll come back, it was the best gig he's had, I'm sure. He most recently appeared battling American Eagle in Texas (in the online comic American Eagle #1).
