Since 1982 Tommie is made by Childerens Television Workshop. Tommie himself had four major changes. |
In the beginning Tommie lived in a carton box, cellar and later with Sien in the shop, but now itīs not clear where he lives. That's because the Dutch makers wanted to make the programm for childeren who live in all sorts of family. Tommie always want things to go his way, but when Ieniemienie is arround he can be persuasive. He likes to invent and has his own soapcar...
He uses a lot the word: "Poehee!" (Pooh hay) and he is the muppet who is the most curious about the world and his things. |

The first Tommie was designed and made by Ton Hasebos and his hands worked the same way as Ieniemienie with arm rods. He was also made from an old fur coat. After season one they desided to change him into glove handpuppet. So now he works the same way as Ernie. |
