Chapter Ten
The day after the group came across another village ready for celebration, they found out the celebration wasn't in the name of Sesshomaru, but in the name of the new born child of the village. There hadn't been a successful pregnancy for almost two full years & now that there had finally been one, the village felt a celebration was in order. Upon arriving the group was quickly given two sleeping huts. Inu Yasha, Kagome, & Catriona took one while Miroku, Sango, & Shippo took the remaining one. Kirara staying with Sango of course.
The night of the celebration, Catriona had decided to just wear a pair of jeans & a t-shirt since she didn't want to show off her kimono. Kagome wore the same outfit from the previous celebration, something Catriona couldn't understand & Sango wore her warrior outfit, though she left her Hiraikotsu in the hut. Miroku & Inu Yasha both wore their normal attire though Inu Yasha left the Tetsusaiga in the hut, not sensing any danger nearby.
A few hours into the whole thing, Catriona had once again wandered off to herself, but this time she knew Sesshomaru wouldn't come to see her since they were nowhere near his Western Lands, though she wished they were. She longed to have his lips on her own once again. Instead of going behind the huts, she disappeared into the hut she was sharing with Kagome & Inu Yasha. She laid on her sleeping bag, which was on the floor so Inu Yasha & Kagome could share the futon, & stared up at the top of the hut as she slid her hand under her shirt, resting it just under the hem since her hand was cold but her stomach warm. She closed her eyes when she heard the door push open, thinking it might have been the hanyou or Kagome, but was proved wrong when she heard someone clear their throat & she opened her eyes to see Miroku.
"Can I help you?" she asked, bending her arm back to slide it under her head as somewhat of a pillow.
"I was wondering if you were okay," he answered, "you left the celebration & I thought perhaps you took ill. I only came to check on you. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine Miroku," Catriona said, taking notice of the container & the two small cups he held in his hands. "What's that?"
"Some sake & two cups for us to share the sake," Miroku said, his tone offering some. "Perhaps you'd like to share some drinks with me?"
"I would say I'm not old enough, but since I'm not in my time, I don't think that should matter, should it?" she asked as she sat up & he sat by her off of her sleeping bag as he set the container down.
"Only if you wish it to," he replied with his opinion. "So, join me?"
"I don't see the harm in it," she said with a shrug.
That was all Catriona could remember clearly from the night before as she looked at the monk that lay asleep on top of her between the layers of her sleeping bag. She didn't have to look to know what had actually happened. He was still inside her, giving everything away. The only she wasn't sure of was how far it had gone since she'd heard stories from classmates of the same thing happening only the guy sticking it right before they passed out & no actually sex happened. Now she only hoped that it had been like that; that he'd just passed out, but something in her told her it hadn't been like she hoped. She felt him stir & when he shifted, his cock pulled out of her slightly, but not all the way, making her eyes go wide. She hadn't been able to feel just how big he was but now that she had she was shocked. She hadn't expected him to be this well endowed.

"Miroku, stop," she said as she pushed up lightly on his chest. "This isn't right, we can't be like this," she added on. After all, think about what he said about Sesshomaru. You two can't & won't be together, so take advantage of having someone here while you can. After all, you go home in a little under three months... Wouldn't it be nice to be with someone so you wouldn't be lonely? Catriona looked at Miroku as she listened to her mind.
"Do you really want me to stop?" he questioned as he made another small thrust after pulling his hips back. He watched Catriona's eyes as she seemed to be in deep thought before she shook her head. "You want me to continue?" When she nodded, he murmured, "I thought so," before he lowered his head again, capturing her lips with his own.

The group was once more back on the track to look for more jewel shards & so far there had been no trouble along the way, giving Catriona plenty of time to think of what happened back at the village. What's going on with me? She thought to herself. I don't like Miroku in that way, but he is here & from what I've gathered so far, Sesshomaru can never actually be here. God, why am I even thinking these thoughts when I can't be with either guy because that would mean leaving behind my family back in America.. I'd never see my mom or dad again. She gave a small "hmph" at the thought of her dad. The man she'd never really cared for.
Kagome heard the sound & glanced at her friend. "Catriona, is something wrong?" she asked, hoping everything was okay.
"It's about the monk & the damned demon," she replied, being careful not to use names so Miroku wouldn't know they were talking about him & Sesshomaru.
"What about them? Do you fell like talking to be about it?"
"Only if you promise not to laugh about it," Catriona said with a sigh as she took the walking spot next to Kagome.
"I promise not to laugh about whatever it is."
"Kagome, this morning before you & Inu Yasha got back, the monk & I... We...had sex. From the position we woke up in the morning, I'm guessing we did it last night too."
"You mean, you & Mi-the monk actually did it? Ew!"
"You'd be surprised at how 'ew' it isn't," Catriona sighed. "The whole thing is, I don't even like the monk like that, but I do like Sess like that... But from what Inu Yasha, Sess, & the monk say, I can't be with Sess since he's a full demon & it could cost him not only his life but my own as well. And I don't know what to do because it'd be nice to have someone, but not someone like the monk that I don't even like."
"Wow," was all Kagome could say at the moment. "Well, do you have any idea at all of what you're going to do about this situation."
"I've got nothing."
"Perhaps you should take it up with Inu Yasha. Besides, I'm sure he already knows about this morning & last night since his nose can pick up pretty much any scent you throw at him that's a few hours or days old."
"Why should I take it up with him?"
"Sess is his older brother & he knows him better than anyone else since they lived together for a short time before their dad died."
"I know that much already... Yasha told me himself, but I don't think I should go to him with something like this. I highly doubt he'd dealt with this kind of problem before."
"I'm sure he hasn't too, but he might just be able to come up with a solution for you. It couldn't hurt to give it a try," Kagome shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Catriona said as she looked ahead in time to run into Inu Yasha's back since he'd stopped but she hadn't seen. "Inu Yasha?"
"Why are you two talking in that language of yours again?" he asked, annoyance ringing through his voice.
"Sorry Inu Yasha, but I was telling Kagome about some things back home."
"Then why did I hear my name four damn times?" he asked, turning around to face her & looked into her eyes.
"Because I was telling her how I thought you'd like to see them yourself."
"Oh," he said as he turned around & the group started off again.
