Chapter Eleven
"Does anyone have any idea of where we are?" Kagome asked as they wandered through the woods. They got lost when a demon attack scattered them but now that they were regrouped, they walked in a tight formation so no one could be lost.
"I'm lost," Inu Yasha said, his nose twitching as he tried to pick up any scent of their track they'd lost.
"I suggest we make camp here for now," Miroku said then looked at Inu Yasha. "You & I can take turns watching over the camp. I'll take first watch so you can rest for the second watch."
"Sounds good to me," Kagome said along with Inu Yasha. She looked at Inu Yasha & gave him a small smile of thanks. She'd been tired all day & the demon attack that scattered them, followed by the hours of searching for everyone until night had fallen exhausted her further.
"I think we all deserve the rest," Shippo said, curling up in the basket on Kagome's bike. "I know I could use it."

Catriona, Sango, & Kagome were at a springs they'd found, when they heard a rustling in the brush off to the side. Catriona grabbed a nearby rock that was almost as big as her hand & tossed it at the sound, hearing a -thunk- followed by a groan. "Who's there?" Sango demanded.
"It's only me," Shippo whimpered, rubbing his head as he came up from the bushes.
"Oh shoot Shippo I'm sorry," Catriona said. "I thought it was Miroku or Inu Yasha," she quickly added on as the fox demon child moved to the edge of the springs.
"Can I come in with you guys?" he asked. "I don't wanna be alone with those two again. Besides, Miroku was talking about Fiona."
"What was he saying about me?"
"I don't know... He was whispering something to Inu Yasha, but then Yasha said, ?you better start treating that Cat girl, a little better Miroku,' so I left to come here... So, can I get in with you guys?"
The girls glanced at each other, whispering if they should let him in or not since he was still young & didn't know any better. "What harm could it cause?" Kagome said, causing the other two to nod. "Come on in Shippo," she smiled, waving him in.

After everyone was done with the soak in the hot springs, they got out & made their way to the camp, towels from Kagome's time now wrapped around themselves. Shippo was wrapped in a spare towel Catriona had taken along for her hair, but was nice enough to wrap him in.
A soft sigh escaped Catriona as she stared at her reflection in the springs. She'd gone back to be by herself & now all she could do was stare at the tears going down her cheeks. By now she had dressed in a pair of black jeans & a white tank top so she was decent should anyone come looking for her. She sniffled before a figure across from her on the other side of the springs caught her eye & she looked up & froze in her spot when she saw the slumped over rabbit demon staring at her with bronze eyes. She quickly rose to her feet & took off back to the camp but it chased after her & when she realized it was following her, she thought about what danger that could put the camp in so she decided to try & lose it herself, without endangering the others. She thought she was running when she was actually running in different turns.
Behind her, she could hear the rabbit demon very close to catching her so she ran as fast as she could, no longer pacing herself to save her breath, but running blindly to save herself. She knew she shouldn't be able to run faster than the demon but then she remembered the blood that had been running down it's left leg, a wound too deep for it's body to heal right away. She realized then that the demon's footsteps were no longer able to be heard & when she looked back, she didn't see it, but she kept running until she came to a river. She stopped at the bank, panting heavily, her muscles screaming at her for jumping up into a fast run. She watched the flow of the river & saw it was heading what she thought was the way to camp so she jumped in & started swimming with the stream, hoping it would get her back to camp quick.

When she realized she was getting nowhere near the camp, she swam to the edge & climbed out, her clothes clinging to her. She shivered since the water had been cold & now here she was in the cold air. Me & my issues, she thought as she started walking away from the river, her ponytail matted against her skin. She made her way back into the woods, realizing that either she was out in the open, or in the woods, she was going to get attacked. Okay, this is going to cost me, but you know what? I DON'T CARE! "INU YASHA?! KAGOME?!!" she yelled, hoping Inu Yasha's ears would pick up her screaming. She was wrong in thinking she'd get Inu Yasha's ears. Instead, she got the ears of a stronger demon, leading them to her.
This is getting old, Catriona thought to herself as she found herself lost after being chased further away from the camp site by the demon that she had miraculously managed to lose in the thick brush of the woods then the fast-moving river she'd found. She didn't even know what land she was in or near; that's how lost she was. She sighed & ran her fingers through her wet ponytail, happy she'd remembered to bring some hair ties with her this time. She heard a rustling behind her somewhere & turned around, her eyes now used to the dark looked for any movement she could find, but she saw nothing. Her ears, however, did pick up the sound of light footsteps, moving to her. She turned her head as far as she could to each side, her eyes straining to find any sign of movement, but nothing. When she looked straight ahead & saw a pair of glowing red eyes staring at her, her breath caught in her throat.
The form that the eyes belonged to was taller than the demon that chased her earlier & definitely stood up right compared to the slump the other walked with. The moon came out from behind the clouds revealing the demon that had been following her from a short distance. He was now only a foot away from her.
