Three years ago J.J. McCleary, Laura DeBettencourt, Jen Barger and I started Keynotes first punk band, Captain Oblivious (named after a nickname I had in highschool). The band only plays during the summer as a part of Keynote's summer project.
Nate Morgan and Rob Mulla were students who played with us. Rob on guitar and Nate on bass, I sang and played guitar, Jen ran sound, J.J. played drums and Laura just hung around and looked cool.
Our first tour took us to California. It was awesome and sometimes dangerous. Bent axil, flat tires, falling rocks, cussing punks, angry insane homeless people and such.
Last year my sister Bethany was in the band while I was home raising my support team.
This year we are forming up Cap'n O' and going to Australia. We are playing at high schools and churches around Sydney. 17 concerts in 11 days!!!
So here we are...the latest incarnation of Captain Oblivious. Kurtis Dudo on drums, Me on vocals, Dan Bongard on Bass, Jacob Fronzak on vocals and guitar, and Chris Gibson on guitar.
